Class Update

| Love Ms. Cera, Mrs. Olivera and Mrs. Arnaez |
Dear Parents,
As a reminder, please remember to send students to class with sharpened pencils. As the year progresses, some students are becoming more and more dependent on a pencil always being available in class.
In addition, this upcoming week will be Ms. Cera's official last week in class. However, she will be returning from time to time to cover for our class. She has truly been a wonderful addition to our experience. The students have become very fond of her. A couple students asked if they could express their appreciation to Ms. Cera. Yes, we encourage them to create something as a thank you! This coming Thursday, we will be celebrating her graduation. It's a surprise! We truly wish her much continued success.
Please be advised that the students will be participating in the BATs II during the first week of December. We urge to make sure they are going to bed early and are coming to school having had a healthy breakfast.
We look forward to seeing you in the near future!
Have a wonderful holiday!

Class Update
Good afternoon,
We hope this update finds everyone well!
Just a couple class reminders -
Field Trip - Our field trip to Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30th. Please remember to have your child wear their Silver Palms school spirit shirt or a school uniform shirt. For safety purposes we strongly suggest that they wear their school spirit shirt. As noted on the field trip form, please remember that we will be stopping at Jefferson Park in Hollywood for an outdoor lunch. Please pack a lunch that will not required refrigeration.
Fall Festival - In preparation for our Pumpkin Fest day (Wednesday, October 31st), we are kindly requesting that you send a small to medium sized pumpkin by Monday, October 29th. In addition, if you would like to send in a small treat bag (18 students)for the occasion, you are welcome to do so.
Parent Conferences - We have already begun our first round of conferences. Conferences are usually held at 7:35 a.m.. However, we will be holding afternoon conferences on Wednesday, November 7th, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Please advise us if you would prefer a morning conference or if you would rather an afternoon conference on November 7th. If neither of these times work with your schedule, let us know and we can plan for a telephone conference.
As we approach the end of the first quarter, please know that we have enjoyed getting to know our students. We understand that 3rd grade expectations can be challenging. But, we feel confident that with our hard work and your support all students will be successful!

Class Update
Dear Families,
Next week, there is no school on Monday. As a reminder, we are scheduled to participate in the BAT 1 (Benchmark Assessment Test). This test is a simulation to the actual FCAT test that the students will be taking in April. It is designed to help us determine a child's areas of weaknesses and areas of strengths. We are asking that you ensure that your child gets a good night sleep and has a healthy breakfast each morning. We are also asking that all students arrive at school no later than 7:45 a.m. to ensure that are on time and are not rushed to begin testing.
Testing Schedule
Tuesday - Reading
Wednesday - Reading
Thursday - Math
Friday - Math
As usual, thank you for your support! Have a wonderful weekend!
